Connie has been the mainstay of our firm since 2000. In her capacity as Senior Paralegal, she utilizes her wealth of knowledge while preparing strong family-based immigration petitions and numerous other USCIS forms. She is also invaluable in her assistance to our attorneys preparing complex immigration cases. Over the years Connie has developed strong relationships with our clients.
Fernanda De Godoy
An immigrant from Brazil, Fernanda has dedicated herself to providing our clients with the most professional and attentive legal service. She is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, and works closely with clients during the intake stage to identify their legal needs. She also prepares their immigration petitions and citizenship applications, is very efficient with follow-up, and fosters strong working relationships with every client. Fernanda holds a degree in Business Management with an emphasis on Foreign Commerce from Brazil and an associate’s of art diploma from Lakeland Community College. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Economics at Cleveland State University.
Paralegal, Russian Interpreter
Olga came to America as a refugee from Uzbekistan, one of the Former Soviet Union republics. She began her career in the U.S. working as a case manager at Jewish Family Service Association helping refugees with resettlement in America. She is committed to serving the Russian speaking community, providing notarial services, assisting attorneys with completing forms, researching facts and communicating with clients. A graduate of Sawyer Business College, Olga has been with Herman Legal Group for (15) years.
An immigrant from the Philippines, Jath joined the firm in early 2017, and is currently completing law school at Case Western Reserve University, where he is Vice President and Founding Board Member of the Asian Law Students Association and a member of CWRU Law School’s Diversity Committee.
Jath graduated from Beloit College in 2002, and worked in various education and business consulting jobs for over a decade in Asia before coming to Cleveland to pursue his life-long dream of becoming a lawyer. He is a Gerber Health Law Fellow at CWRU Law School, and has been working in immigration law since 2016, serving as back-office support for lawyers assisting with family-based, business, and humanitarian immigration motions, briefs, and petitions.
He is fluent in Mandarin, Hokkien, and Tagalog and is learning Spanish. He serves as a JD Mentor for foreign exchange students at CWRU Law School and finds working in immigration to be fulfilling because he gets to help real people and families achieve their American dreams.
Bookkeeper and Chinese Interpreter
Elaine immigrated to the United States in the 1980s from Taiwain. She has worked at Herman Legal Group for several years, functioning as our firm’s bookkeeper and Chinese interpreter. Elaine earned her associates degree at Cuyahoga Community College.
