Case processing times are available on the USCIS site. If you have submitted an I-90, I-102, I-765, N-400, or one of these other 10 forms, then the agency will choose the new method to calculate the processing duration. Here are three examples of this new method for the Greer field office:
- Naturalization (N-400): 8 to 14 months
- Certificate of Citizenship (N-600): 6.5 to 14.5 months
- Citizenship and Issuance of Certificate Under Section 322 (N-600K): 10 to 22.5 months
The second figure you see in all of these examples is the time needed to process nearly all (93%) of the cases. The USCIS usually updates these times monthly.
During the mentioned waiting period, you can check the status of your case online. The following tool allows you to track the status of your application or request 24/7.
If the waiting period ends and you still haven’t received a decision, you may be able to ask about the delay. Check the processing times section for more details on case inquiries.
