When it comes to information about immigration options and processes, USCIS’s official website is the main resource. The site has dedicated sections for citizenship, green cards, laws, and news. There’s also an interactive virtual assistant or bot called Ask Emma.
Besides these resources, there is also a tools section that provides you with information related to your case. You can use this section to check your case status, calculate form filing fees, check case processing times, file forms online, ask for information/clarifications, etc.
Field offices take care of the services that can’t be provided online. A typical field office does the following:
- Interviews applicants
- Provide supplementary information and services
- Arrange naturalization ceremonies
