An immigrant from the Philippines, Jath joined the firm in early 2017, and is currently completing law school at Case Western Reserve University, where he is Vice President and Founding Board Member of the Asian Law Students Association and a member of CWRU Law School’s Diversity Committee.
Jath graduated from Beloit College in 2002, and worked in various education and business consulting jobs for over a decade in Asia before coming to Cleveland to pursue his life-long dream of becoming a lawyer. He is a Gerber Health Law Fellow at CWRU Law School and has been working in immigration law since 2016, serving as back-office support for lawyers assisting with family-based, business, and humanitarian immigration motions, briefs, and petitions.
He is fluent in Mandarin, Hokkien, and Tagalog and is learning Spanish. He serves as a JD Mentor for foreign exchange students at CWRU Law School and finds working in immigration to be fulfilling because he gets to help real people and families achieve their American dreams.
