What happens if the normal processing time passes and your case is still under process? In this case, go to the processing time section of the USCIS website to find out the case inquiry receipt date. This date is given in the section below the processing time. If the receipt date on your notice comes before the case inquiry date given on the page, you can ask about your case.
According to the USCIS, your case is under process if one of the following has happened in the last 60 days: you’ve received a case-related notice from the agency, you’ve answered a request to provide evidence, or you’ve received an online update about your case.
Before going to the Queens Field Office, or any other USCIS field office, check if it’s currently open and/or operating during the same hours.
